Better late than never as I have just read your post. As always, well thought through and written.

I have always believed the American people have been longing for some consequences for the long list of false narratives fed to us by both parties and the government as a whole. Going back to the certainty of nuclear weapons in Iran, the modern information availability age began proving many truths to be untrue. Americans were starting to peel back the layers and discover our trusted politicians and agencies were not to be trusted. As more and more of these narratives being fed to the public provedsketchy at best, a thirst for consequences grew.

Many, including myself, believe in truth, honor and trust as an expectation of our government. Breaches of these expectations should result punishment. Not storming the capital, but certainly holding accountable those responsible in some freaking way. This lack of consequences is where many peoples frustration and exhaustion springs from.

Today, the game continues to be played on the voters in a masterful way. Blatant half-truths and untruths dominate both current political machines as we approach election day. The electorate has been well baited by both sides. Hopefully, the choices and platforn policies will be made clear and informed voters will make their voices heard.

Excellent points David. Both parties have played this game with great unintended consequences. These players never pay the price. We always do.

As the con jobs accelerate without accountability, I feel quite certain the negative consequences will as well.

Will people wake up or continue to lash out in unproductive ways that just enforce the false narrative? Not sure.

Sue - so this is written after the RNC fanfare. You mentioned that President Trump’s VP pickwas critical to getting his game set up long term. I think his choice of JDVance does accomplish that fairly well. And yes, President Trump may have a very deep bench of capable people he can call upon to fill his Cabinet and top choices. I hope he is better prepared this time to get his administration set up. But since the Dems have gotten. Biden to implement rules (Biden can’t do it himself) to sabotage what President Trump will do to set up his government, I hope there are supporters to teary that. Heads in the government should role, putting the fear of the entrenched federal workforce of losing their cushy jobs.

Hi Roger, thanks for your thoughts. I wrote this before the RNC. I agree with your assessment. I hope JD Vance is the right person to expand Trump's base so we win but really it will be Trump and how he and the Repubs conduct this campaign that will determine winners and losers. With the bait and switch of Harris for Biden, the game has changed. My new blog on that is coming out shortly...

Thanks for your response, Sue.

I would rephrase one of your sentences: "Fortunately Trump helped that happen with his own behavior..." because that is the only way an anti-establishment presidential candidate breaks through the stranglehold that the Left has on the media. He played on what was for many an unfamiliar and uncomfortable edge of "goofy" such that they couldn't ignore him. Meanwhile his policies were anything but goofy.

Keep in mind, also, the officially sanctioned and establishment supported chaos in the streets during his term. Expect more of that in his upcoming term. Policies that actually alter the economic, social, and fiscal direction of the ship of state tend to bring out the visceral hatred in large numbers of the heretofore comfortable. That's to be expected. The only way it won't happen will be if the Left is thoroughly thrashed in the upcoming election. I'm not fully expecting that. So brace yourself!

"because that is the only way an anti-establishment presidential candidate breaks through the stranglehold that the Left has on the media." That is an interesting point Jim. Whatever else Trump may be, he is a marketeer of tremendous skill. And he did breakthrough and enjoyed the wrath of the establishment as a result.

What has me concerned is that rightly or wrongly, half of the country has a visceral hatred for him and will not vote for him under any circumstances. This would not have been the case with a number of other candidates. Have more to add but have to run. More later!

It looks like the Left WAS thoroughly thrashed in the election... thank goodness!

The third option, which you seem to have missed, is that Trump was a good president the first time around... and will be again. That he is "despised by half the country (apparently including you) is the result of the fourth (most powerful) branch of Government, in league with the Fourth Estate, is non-stop smearing him... because the fourth branch of Government knows that Trump will fire half of their useless, conniving leech on the American taxpayers.

And, you can be sure that Trump's VP pick will be substantive. Republicans have a very deep bench and Trump wants his policy initiatives to continue.

Yes I agree that much good happened under the Trump presidency. Among other things, the focus of this article is how the false narratives turned Trump into Democrats greatest weapon with at least half of the country. Unfortunately Trump helped that happen with his own behavior but if he had been treated fairly by the Democrats and their media lapdogs, this country would be in a far better position now. The Democrats underestimated the voters as usual and their latest lawfare strategy has backfired spectacularly.

Because Trump has been used so effectively by those who are destroying our country, my preference was to move on from him. Plus the Democratic machine completely outmaneuvered Republicans and Trump in both 2020 and 2022. To blame everything on fraud misses our own culpability. Am tired of losing.

But we are where we are and I am firmly behind Trump and his platform in this election. Hopefully he has learned some lessons and will be far more strategic going forward with less shooting from the hip.

Trump's VP pick is critical to winning due to his own age. Whoever he picks will hopefully temper the visceral hatred so much of the country has for him.

Thanks for your comment Jim.

Trump's VP pick turned out to be phenomenal!

"Outmaneuvered"? Does anyone still believe Joe got 81 million legal votes?
